Aims

：以旧带新学习milk, bread, egg, water, rice, beef, chicken, fish

.要求能听说读写。

教学内容

：Let’s talk in p b

Step 1 Warm-up /revision

1. Free talk the name words in a kitchen using the drills of “Welcome to my home. Thank you”. “This is my kitchen/table/stove//pot/fridge. Great.” “I have a /table/stove//pot /fridge/stove/fan. Me, too.” “I like a tea table /lamp /fridge/stove/fan/computer. Me, too.”

2. Play the tape and ask the Ss to sing the song with the music of They are in the zoo. The lyric below: Where is the table? Where is the chair? Where is the spoon? Where is the plate? They are in the kitchen. They are in the kitchen. I can see. I can see. Substitutions: 1. fork and knife/ plates/bowls//chopsticks; kitchen.

Step 2 Presentation

Dining on New Year’s Day. Mike and John are at Wu Yifan’s home. Do they like Chinese food?

1. Listen to the tapes of let’s talk in part b for 3 times, then ask the Ss to answer the questions: Where are they? With what meal wares are mike and john to eat Chinese food, forks and knives or chopsticks? Who can use the chopsticks? John or Mike?

 2. Use the drills of “What would you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner? I’d like┅ ”to practice the eight  words about foods and drinks.

a. T’s example of the talk.

b. T/Ss do the same.

c. Ss in pair do the same.

d. Ss in group to act the dialog.

e. Ask and answer the questions on the dialog and fill in the form below

f. Do with let’s chant in pair .

Step 3 Extensive learning 

1. Do you know Chinese food and chopsticks? They have stories. Listen to Wu Yifan. What does eh say?

2. Listen and read readings 3-3 4-2 on 85-86 and answer the question: 

a. What are Chinese traditional foods and drinks? Beijing roasted ducks and instant boiled muttons and Chinese tea. 

b. What are chopsticks mainly made of, bamboo or wood?  Bamboo.

Step 4 Comprehensive oral practices

Talk about Mike and John’s visit to Wu Yifan’s home.

Q1: Does Mike like Chinese food? 

Q2: What about John? 

Q3: What do they praise the food?

Q3: Who learns to use chopsticks soon?
