一、概述:
本课是PEP小学英语第四册Unit 6 At a farm Part A的第一课时。本课时呈现的是一幅农场图,图中包括本课时要求掌握的重点单词sheep,hen,cow,horse,goat,lamb以及句型What are they ?They are …s.通过创设情景让学生灵活运用所学的动物单词,同时掌握这些单词的复数形式。

二、学生特征分析:
本节课的对象是四年级的学生,经过”跨越式”教学的训练,他们的听说能力和口头表达能力有了一定的基础,而且适应了跨越式英语教学模式。能按老师的课堂指令去做好每一件事。对于动物这个话题学生并不陌生,在三年级时学生已经学习了一些动物的单词及一些描述动物特征的形容词(long、short、small, big)。

三、教学目标:
1、知识目标
(1)使学生能听、说、认、读sheep, lamb, goat, cow, horse, hen等单词。
(2)能听说、认读重点句型“What are they? They are…s.并能在实际情境中运用。
(1)能听懂Let’s learn中的单词及拓展的句子。
(2)在key points的帮助下,用所学知识进行两两说,能灵活运用所学知识进行交流。
(1)激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立学习英语的自信心。
(2)让学生树立爱护及保护动物的意识。
4、拓展目标
(1)拓展句型:Are they ……? Yes ,they are / No, they aren’t.
(2) 学生能在听读拓展材料的内容中,理解句子What can you do?并能正确回答I can ….
(3)拓展描述动物外貌特征的形容词。

四、教学重、难点:
1.重点:掌握6个农场动物的单词,并能运用所学句型进行问答。
2.难点:“horse”与“lamb”的发音,以及sheep的单复数同形。

五、教学策略
本节课以“听说”为中心,并充分发挥“教师交际”、“俩俩交际”、“拓展听读”这三个环节在课堂上的作用,利用丰富的资源辅助学生进行两两说.为学生创设和谐、宽松的课堂学习氛围,注重激励性的语言评价,激发学生的学习热情,以提高语言的运用能力。

一、创设情景,综合复习(3分钟)
1.Greetings.
2.Lead-in:
T: Today I’ll take you to an interesting place. Let’s enjoy a flash. “Old McDonald had a farm”(引出farm)Teach: farm
T: Today We’ll go to the Old McDonald’s farm.
What animals can you see at the farm?
3.Let’s talk.

A: How many...s can you see?

(设计意图:通过Flash的导入为学生营造学习英语的良好氛围,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,通过对话交际自然引入对本节课新知的学习。)

二、听读新知,初步感知(6分钟)
1. New words
T: Just now we saw some animals.
Now let's learn the new words(show some pictures of animals and to learn the new words.
What’s this?---It’s a …/What are they?---They are…, (lambs, goats, cows, horses, hens,sheep)and pay attention to /z/.
(设计意图:本节课的新单词是通过句型 What’s this ?引出来的,由单数自然过渡到复数单词。同时把单词放在句子中学习也做到了词不离句。)

三、情景交际,巩固新知(13分钟)
(1) Let’s play a guessing game. Let’s guess.
What are they? They are …s.
(根据图片的提示让学生猜出是什么动物)
(2) T:There are many animals in the picture, How many animals can you see? Let’s have a look. (show ppt)
eg. I can see …….in the picture.
(3). Just now you did a good job,Now Let’s talk about the animals.
A:Hello!
B:Hello!
A:What are they?
B: They are…
A: How many...s can you see?
B: ...
A: Goodbye!
B: Goodbye!
(设计意图:通过游戏及对话练习对知识进行操练,帮助学生开口运用英语进行交际。)

四、拓展听读,整体感知(13分钟)
拓展一:(1) Look at the farm, What are they? Are they hens? Let’s watch the viedo.
(2)听音跟读,拓展单词donkey和Are they...?及肯定和否定回答。
拓展二: (1) Look,this is McDonald’s farm We can do many things at a farm. Now Let’s watch a video. Then tell me If you are at a farm, What can you do?”
(2)听音,跟读,If you are at a farm, What can you do?”

拓展三:(1): Now let’s watch a video. Then introduce the animals on the farm。
(2)听音,跟读,The…are…,They can…
拓展四:(1)My uncle has a big farm .Do you want to go and see? Listen to the reading three times.
My uncle has a big farm. Every Sunday I go there with my friend Li Lei. Li Lei likes animals very much. Me too. There are sixty hens, ten horses, eleven cows, twenty sheep, thirteen rabbits and two dogs. I like to feed lambs. They are white and lovely. They like eating grass. Li Lei can ride a horse. I can run very fast. We all like the farm.
