一、概述
本课是PEP小学英语四年级下册Unit4第五课时。A部分学习了句型What are these? They’re…以及Are these…?本课时,要求学生掌握句型What are those? They are…以及Are they …? Yes, they are,/ No, they aren’t.通过本课时的学习,能使学生掌握重点句型 What are those? Are they…?并进行准确回答,并且要求学生能在实际情景中运用这些语言。

二、学情分析:
本课的教学对象是四年级的学生,学生之前已经有一年半的英语学习经验。同时通过这一年半的学习,学生从学习习惯、学习方法各方面已经习惯了跨越式课堂的模式,形成了良好的英语学习习惯。

三、教学目标
知识与技能:
1. 能够听懂会说What are these/those ?They are…
2. 能掌握重点句型Are they…?并进行准确回答Yes, they are ./No, they aren’t.
过程与方法:
1.通过创设语言环境,激发学生求知欲,给学生进行大量的语言输入。
2.通过小组的操练活动让学生在交流体验中接受新知识、增强对课文的掌握和运用。
3.通过教师不同层次的语言评价,学生评价等形式,激励学生的学习兴趣和积极性。
情感态度与价值观:
1、培养学生注意观察、认真模仿的良好习惯和主动竞争的竟识。
2、激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立学习英语的自信心。
3、让学生树立保护动物的意识。

四、教学重点、难点
教学重难点:
1.重点:能正确运用句型What are these/those? They are…
2.难点:词组a lot of 的读音以及句型Are they…?Yes, they are./No, they aren’t的运用。

课题组提供的拓展资源,PPT、Flash动画。

六、教学方法与策略:
通过创设情境,把学生带进真实的生活环境,鼓励学生多开口,多与老师或同学交流,用英语表达自己的思想和感受,达到掌握知识培养技能的目的。

七、教学过程:
1、Warm-up
Hello, boys and girls. Today is a sunny day, so let’ s go outside.. Look ,this is a beautiful farm. Do you want to visit this farm? Let’ have a race.Which group is the best,I ‘ll take you to this farm on Sunday. Now let’s encourage ourselves.
开始上课前,把学生分成男女两组,设计一个到农场的情境,通过学生的表现看哪一组先到目的地,哪一组就是优胜组。
T: First let’s go to my uncle Mr Macdonald ‘s farm. On his farm, there are some animals. What animals? Let’s sing a song and try to find them.
1)Sing a song: Old Macdonald had a farm
【设计意图:】课前让学生唱一唱,既能激发学习兴趣,又能营造良好的英语氛围,为下一步的教学活动作好了铺垫。
2)free talk
T: This is my uncle’s farm. What animals do you hear on his farm? 学生说出动物单词。然后出示课件出示动物都躲到树后,学生通过选择哪一棵树进而引出树后的动物来谈论。先由师问学生回答,根据师生对话内容然后让学生两人一组选择图片自由表达。
【设计意图:】通过自由对话自然地引出了新知的学习,从旧知到新知,过渡自然,学生乐于接受,并且学生能在轻松的 Free talk 中不知不觉地提高听说能力。
2、Presentation
1)学习a lot of 以及these/those 的区别
情境创设: On my uncle’s farm ,there are many animals, look, He has many horses. How many horses does he have? Let’s count. Yes , he has 17 horses. He has a lot of horses.教师板书a lot of并领读几遍,然后让学生用a lot of…造句。
On his farm there are some other animals . Look,导入What are these 和What are those.通过课件上图片对比来学习these 和those的不同。学习的过程中同时板书What are these? They’re…
What are those? They are…
学生理解之后,通过课件进一步学习和巩固these 和those的不同,先由教师问,然后再由学生问,层层递进。
2)Let’s play
We have talked the animals. Now let’s act the animals. I will ask two students to come to the front and act the animals. For example let’s act like a cat. Meow,meow.教师示范,并指着表演的学生问其他学生What are those? Are they…?学生根据教师的提问进行回答。然后找几组学生上前抽取图片,根据图片上的动物来进行动作或是声音的模仿,然后让下面的一组学生一问一答:What are those? Are they…? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. They are…
【设计意图:】通过游戏来进一步强化本节课重点句型的学习,让学生在玩中学,学中玩,使英语学习不再枯燥,相反,会变得很有趣,学生很乐于参与。
对于表现好的学生老师要及时予以表扬和奖励。You are super actors.
3)导入let’s talk
T: On Monday morning, our friends Mike and Sarach come to my uncle’s farm, too .They talk something about the animals. Now let’s listen what they talk about.
教师放let’s talk 视频,提出问题:What animals do you hear? How many horses does my uncle have?让学生带着问题去听,听完之后回答问题。
【设计意图:】让学生带着问题去听,让学生的听有了目的性,能够提高学生的听力。
最后再跟读,学生俩俩练习
我是小小配音家:学生分角色给课文配音。Now Let’s dub for the dialogue.
3、创设情境,巩固新知
On my uncle’s farm, he also has some other animals.拓展单词donkeys and goats。
Now my uncle’s farm has more animals, let’s talk about them. I’m the farmer.
A: Look at my farm.
B: Wow . You have a lot of animals. What are these/those?
A: They are …
B: How many … do you have?
A: I have…
B: What about these/those?Are they…
A: Yes, they are/ No, they aren’t. They are….
学生俩俩练习,然后展示
【设计意图:】把语言放到真实的语境中来学习,能够实现语言的交际功能,使语言真正的用于交际,而不仅仅停留在课本上。
4、拓展听读,整体感知
1)There is another farm, on the farm there is a baby cow and some chicks, let’s go and have a look.教师播放视频,同时出示问题,让学生带着问题去听。
拓展一: 反馈形式:听,跟读,回答问题:
Are they donkeys?
【设计意图:】第一个听力材料比较简单,学生听一遍之后跟读,能够很容易地回答出问题。
2)On Sunday, Zip and Zoom come to the farm, too. They see some vegetables and animals. Let’s listen and answer the questions.
拓展二:拓展单词mutton, grass
反馈形式:听,跟读,回答问题:
Zip likes cows, and Zoom likes ______
Zip likes hens, and Zoom likes ______
【设计意图:】通过提供趣味性和故事性较强的flash动画,为学生创设听力训练环境,也为言语交际提供了大量的言语输入。
5、综合运用,灵活表达
创设情境:Today, you have visited my uncle’s farm, on his farm , there are not only a lot of animals, but also a lot of vegetables. Look出示关键词,教师可以让学生上来充当farmer师生进行示范,然后再让学生自由说。

Welcome to my farm.
It’s so big.
What are these/those?
What colour are they?
Do you like …?
Are these/those …?
【设计意图:】综合说部分大量的涵盖了旧知、新知和拓展的内容,形式多样,让学生自由发挥他们的语言能力。
T: Today we talk about the animals , I have some pictures of animals, look教师出示动物与人类和谐相处的几张图片,教育学生动物是我们的朋友,我们应该爱护动物。
【设计意图:】教育学生爱护动物,让学生有保护动物的意识。
Homework: Design a farm, and make a new dialogue with your partner.
(设计自己的农场,并且根据所学内容与同伴创编对话。)
