    • Introduction

Innovative thinking is the ability and mindset to re-examine a problem, situation, or challenge and provide new, unique, and valuable solutions to it. For thousands of years, innovative thinking has injected inexhaustible power into the development of human civilization and social progress. Innovative thinking is the key to solving complex problems and addressing future challenges.
In an ever-changing and evolving world, college students need to be equipped with creative thinking, problem solving and adaptive learning skills to cope with the demands of future careers and society. However, the traditional education model often attaches too much importance to knowledge transfer and neglects the innovative potential of students. Therefore, in order to improve the innovative thinking of college students, we need to rethink the educational methods and curriculum design.
In recent years, artificial intelligence technology has made significant progress in various fields, including natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, and so on. The rapid development of these technologies provides university students with a richer learning experience and the opportunity to cultivate innovative thinking. Education systems around the world are responding to emerging technologies and changes in educational methods. Many countries have identified AI and innovative education as strategic development areas. The government and the education sector are developing policies to encourage schools and universities to adopt AI technologies in order to improve the quality of education and foster the cultivation of innovative thinking.
The widespread application of artificial intelligence technology has changed the way of work and life, so university education needs to adapt to the demands of the new knowledge economy and the information age, producing graduates with innovative thinking to adapt to the career challenges of the future.
The purpose of this study is to provide a systematic review and to systematically map the relevant research literature. The structure of this paper is as follows: First, we introduce the background of artificial intelligence research, including the current situation of how artificial intelligence technology enables college students to cultivate innovative thinking. Then, we describe the methodology, the results and the discussion. Finally, we present a conclusion and some lessons learned from the findings.

    • Background

    Innovative Thinking

Regarding innovative thinking, different scholars have different views. Zhao Qingmin believes that the creative thinking process of human beings is in the process of multiple cycles of "development - integration - re-development - re-integration", which must go through "thinking development" and "thinking integration" [1]. Zhang Yisheng believes that innovative thinking is a kind of thinking corresponding to conventional thinking, and its essence lies in creating new achievements that are not found in previous thinking, including four principles: unfamiliar principle, homing principle, change principle and intermediary selection principle [2]. In short, innovative thinking emphasizes free thinking, openness to new ideas and ideas, and is not limited by traditional or habitual thinking frameworks. This way of thinking emphasizes diverse perspectives, trying to think about problems from different angles or areas in order to gain new insights and creativity. People with innovative minds actively seek to identify and define problems, seeing opportunities behind problems rather than just superficial challenges. They are good at connecting different ideas, concepts or fields to generate new thinking and innovation, which in turn turns ideas into practical actions and innovative results.
Innovative thinking is not just about product or technology innovation, but also can be applied to a variety of fields, including education, business, arts, social and humanities. It is a way of thinking that stimulates creativity and facilitates change, making an individual or organization more competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
